Growing up in DC, Mellisa heard that ice cream truck coming down the block and that feeling of pure joy became the foundation of everything Crave Happy is built on.

Mellisa grew up in Washington DC, attending DC public schools. On hot summer afternoons, the sound of the ice cream truck coming down the block was everything. Running outside with cousins and old neighbors, pooling together whatever change you had, crowding around that truck window craving something cold and sweet and good.

That feeling. That moment of pure joy. That craving for something happy. That is where the name came from. Crave Happy is that feeling worn on your back.

The logo itself traces back to that same truck. The shapes, the energy, the nostalgia baked into the mark all point back to those DC summers. Snacks with cousins. Ice cream with neighbors. A childhood that felt like everything.
